MONEY FOR THE GIRLS.
Is not a certain injustice in. money matters done most giris who, after twenty- . one, remain in a father's house? It is so bard for the fathers to realise that the girls are grown up, and that dependence, even on one who loves you, has its trials. Many a girl feels keenly this bondage, especially if, as often happens, she must, in asking, tell for what she k wants "money, thus subjecting her desires to another's judgment. Indulgence and justice ' are very different things ; and in money matters all women of sense prefer the latter. A fair recognition of their claims is 'dearer to them than a thoughtless and spasmodic generosity, and, the trust involved is the sweetest compliment to their good sense. ?' , Give her, then, some money of her very own, hot more than you spend on her now, , perhaps not so much at first, since one inasfc provide for the chance of her spending fc*4-' ishly, and needing to be helped out of tils consequences.
