How can every one help pie Church of England 'Temperance Society? You can help much' by good wishes, by your prayers, viz. : — 1. Pray for all temperance work ; that there may be a' real, steadfast effort to counteract the tearful sin of intemperance, and especially its growth among our young people (Gal. v., 21 ; I. Cor. vi., ! 10). 2. Pray that God will mercifully stir up the hearts of Christian men and women to deny themselves the lawful and moderate use of wine, beer and spirits for the sake of -others (11. Samuel xxiii,, 15, 16_. 17). 3.^ Pray that the licensing vote may be used for God's glory and the good of this country. You can help by contributing to the funds- of this column, which are sorely • needed. You can help more by joining a, i branch, and by personal effort. You can help most by becoming a total abstainer, and. endeavouring to reform, those -who axe intemperate, remembering the Apostle's words in Jas. v., 19, 20. i
