THE VOLUNTEERS.
An inspection parade of the Linwood Rifles was held last evening at the drillshed. The corps mustered forty-eight strong, under Captain Horsley, Lieutenants Drayton and Johnston being also on parade. Major Day was the inspecting officer, and Captain and Adjutant Hobdav and Ser-geant-Major Barrett were also present. The corps was exercised in manual and firing and company drill. Xo coze that soreness of the limbs which .attacks cyclists and ' other athletes when in tauningi apply Loasby'B Koolibah, a liniment which is used exclusively by Geo. Sutherland, Harold Lyons, and other cyclists. Pri«e Sis, all chemists. . .'. Mr E. R. Vickerman, of the Union Bank, has been appointed accountant, at Timaru, and left last Thursday to take up his new duties.
