THE VOLUNTEERS.

An inspection parade of the Linwood Rifles was held last evening at the drillshed. The corps mustered forty-eight strong, under Captain Horsley, Lieutenants Drayton and Johnston being also on parade. Major Day was the inspecting officer, and Captain and Adjutant Hobdav and Ser-geant-Major Barrett were also present. The corps was exercised in manual and firing and company drill.
