The eteamer Wakatu is still in Lyttelton weather-bound, and the Jano Douglas did hot make her trip to Akaroa and the Bays on Friday evening. The continuous southerly gale has greatly • interfered with shipping at Lyttelton, and dn_mg Saturday and yesterday the only movewere the sailings of tiie Waikare and . Mararoa for Dunedin*. The Rotomahana, : whioh should have left Wellington on Friday, was unable to get out of the northern port, and her trip haa been abandoned, while the same remark applies to the Rotorua. . I
