west melton: ■<■■■■ The usual monthly sale was held at these yards on Monday, when, there was a good entry of sheep and a Large attendance of buyers. There was a good demand for all classes of sheep, and a total clearance was effected. Best turnip wethers realised up to 14s 3d, at figure a line «f 370 was sold ; two-tooth ewes and wethers sold at 11s 9d, 12s Id and 13s, aged cross-bred ewes 9s 6d to 10s 6d, forward lambs up to 10s 9d, and 11s 6d for fat, shorn lambs 8s to 9s 9d, merino wethers in forward condition 9s 3d to 9s 7d, merino ewes 5s 3d to 7s lOd, rams from 4s 9d up to £1 Is. Two-year-old unbroken draught horses sold at £15 10s and £18.
DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, April 20. Wheat.— The market is unaltered, and the quotations are the same as last week's, namely, prime Velvet 2s 6d, Tuscan 2s 4d, and fowl feed up to 2s for good whole 1 . Oats. — Oats are at about the same prices <is those of last week, with a dispositpn to ease. Milling Is 4d, prime Sparrowbills Is 3£d, good sound feed Is 2£d to Is 3d, ex rail. Barley. — This cereal continues dull. Bright samples command attention at up to 3s to •3s 3d, ordinary 2s 4d to 2s 9d, feed Is 6d to 2s.
