PARISH MEETINGS.
ST JOHN'S, WOOLSTON. The annual meeting of parishioners was held m the church schoolroom on Thursday evening, when tliere was a gcod attendance, lhe vicar, the Rev C. H. Gosset, presided, and explained why no curate had been appointed. He spoke as to the flourishing condition of the Sunday school. The church^ wardens, in their reporfc, referred to the special appeal for funds, which had some-' what affected the offertories. The balancesheet showed receipts £145 12s 6d, expenditure £123 7s 4d, and liabilities £'66 4s lid. Tins latter item had been reduced by aboui £10 since the accounts had been made up. Mr K. G. Wood was appointed' minister's church-warden, Mr Spreadbury parishioners' church-warden, and the following were appointed a vestry:— Messrs G. Scott, C Bailey, F. Yates, J. R. Douglass, G. Butcher, Sprange and G. Wood. The usual . votes of thanks' were passed to the vicar, outgoing church officers, superintendent arid Sunday school teachers, and all church workers. During the evening musical item= were given and refreshments handed round.
