THE TIMBER TRADE.
A telegram from Greymouth states ihat at a meeting of the West Coast Timber Company, held yesterday, it was decided to continue the existence of the company, and the price was raised to 6s f.o.b. This price, the millers affirm, is necessary, in view of the increased royalty and other charges, 'the export of timber frcm Greymouth has bren giaduallv increasing, but so far the prices hi,ve left the sawmillers little or no margin of profit.
