The few good dairy cows in met fair competition at up to £7 10s. A small and mixed entry of fat sheep has opened w:ell for all the better classes. A rather smaller entry of fat lambs contained <a large proportion of inferior quality. Prime lambs met keen • competition, freezers bringing from 10s 6d to 12s, while others ran from 7s 6d to 9s 6d. The yarding of stores contained some very good lines of turnip sheep, iand this class and good breeding ewes met keen competition, -showing a distinct rise. Forward wethers brought up to 13s, do mixed lines to 12s, good lambs up to 9s Id. young breeding ewes up to lis 9d.
