m WEDNESDAY'S WEATHER. From Observations Taken at 9 a. si. , There was a high and even barometric range — Auckland 30.33, Wellington 30.31, Christchurch 30.20, Bluif 30.18. 'Light northerly winds prevailed, with fine weather at most stations ; and showers at Manukau Heads, drizzle at Taupo, Clyde, Balclutha and Bluff. In the far north the sea was heavy, but moderate to smooth elsewhere. The temperature in the shade ranged from 73deg in the north to 54deg in the south ; Christchurch 60deg. At Christchurch the barometer wag steady.
