SWIMMING.

The annual meeting of the New Briehton Amateur Swimming Club was held on Thursday nighty and was well attended. Captain Owles occupied the chair. Mr Robertson, the secretary, furnished a statement, duly audited by Mr C. H. Franks, wliich was adopted. Robertson (re-elected) ; treasurer, Mr G. Clark ; delegates to the New . Zealand Swimming Association, the secretary and Mr W. Mansell ; au-lih-r, Mr C. H. Franks. Tbe annua*, subscj-ipt'on was increased from 2s 6d to ss. The Tramway Company generously offered members equal privileges with the Sailing Club. Mention was made of the necessity for pushing forward the question of
