PROPERTY SALES.
THIS DAY. There was a veiy large and representative attendance at Messrs H. Matscn and Co.'s land salerooms to-day, when Mr Leicester Matson cffered by auction several agricultural, pastoral and suburban properties. The first property offered was Mr F. Busch's Erooklands Farm, at Southbridge, consisting of the homestead block of 339 acres, and another block of 52 acres. Bidding foi* the homestead block started at £515 per acne, and at £19 5s it was secured by Mr R. Lockhead, of Lgeston, who also purchased the 52-acre block at £23 15s. M-3SST3 J. and R. Inwood's property ot 1700 acres of .past-oral land between Dunsandel and Bankside was then offered, and ■withdrawn at £1 5s per acre. An offer of £7 7s 6d per a.ere for a 200---acrc farm at Russell's Flat, known aa King's, was declined at auction, but it was immediately afterward, sold privately at £8 per acre. Mr James Jackson's suburban residence in St -Limes Street, Papanui, with 1£ acres ol land, was put up, and bids ran fiom £500 t.; £800, a* which it was withdrawn. Mr Jackson's Sevenoaks Butchery, standing on one acre of land, at the corner of Papanm and North Roads, -was also withdrawn at £775. Two sections at Waikari, tlie property 6t Mr H. F. Recce, with two small cottages, were withdrawn at £110. The total amount of the sale reached | £9235.
