Tlie Directors recommend that this amount should be appropriated as follows : -r-A dividend at the rate of 9 per cent' per annum., absorbing £87,750, the balance to be carlied f orword to profit and loss accoiint. The Chairman, in his remarks, said that taking a- comprehensive view, Australasian banking •was in a sound condition, and the "outlook "was encouraging. The prices of land and other properties showed a distinct advance. The report was adopted. A special meeting agreed t» raise the Directors' remuneration from £1200 to £2000 per year.
