[FROM Oim- CORRKSrONnENT.I WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. OLD AGE PENSIONS. Consideration of the Old Age Pensions Bill in committee will be resumed in the House to-day. and it is stated that if the Public Works Statement comes down it will be late in the evening. There is, however, little probability of its coming down before to-morrow. MISCELLANEOUS. The report of the proceedings of the Public Accounts Committee on the Pacific cable service contains a large amount of information as to the proposed routes, the cost of construction and the estimated revenue. If is understood that consideration of the General Estimates in Committee of Supply will be taken to-day. The evidence taken on the Orchard and Garden Pests Bill before the Agricultural and Stock Committee, has been issued, and extends to seventy-two pages.
