A CURIOSITY.
A representative of the "Timaru Herald" has been shown by Constable Whatman a" curio in whittling, done by his brother, a. youth of eighteen, now at Cheviot. It is a; chain nearly 7ft long, of about forty links,, with swivel and hook, whittled with a pocket-knife out of a piecs of 2 x 2 Balticpine.
