THE ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT. |PKB PRKHH AHSOOIATION.I WEL&tNGTON, Sept 14. The football tournament under Association rules • began to-day witfc the match Wanganui v, Wellington. Little or no interest was showsi by the jroblic, and the ; attendance was small. With the wind Wanganui had Hie advantage, and Barclay (sub) scored a goal. When ends 'were changed, the Wellington men did as th-ey liked. Henderson and Bundle kicked six goals between them. The winners were distinctly the "better team, and one of their number, »n player, Masters, was easily first of all engaged in the same. The latter Tportion of the match was fflayed in torrents of Tain.
