CYCLING.

A meeting of the committee of the Christehurch Cycling Hub was held in the club-roouis last evening ; present — Messrs W. E. Thompson (chairman), E. James, A. T. Washer, C. Hulston, G. Harris, J. H. rompkius, VV. G. Williams arid T.Clarkson. The Pioneer Cub wrote stating that it had appointed representatives to meet a deputation from the Christchurch Club to consider matters of mutual interest. Tuesday next was fixed as the date for the conference. After some discussion it was decided to write 'to the Pioneer Club explaining that no official invitation had been received for members to take part in that club's opening run. This was fomd necessary, as . a rumour had gained currency that the Christchurth Cycling Club had ignored the fixture referred, to. Mr Williams was appointed to arrange for a dressing tent in connection with the hill-climbing competition. Mr J. J. Kinsey, vice-presi-dent, and Mr G. A sub-committee was appointed to have charge of training for the Intercolonial Dunlop Relay Ride. The following heats were drawn for the hill climbing competition : — First heat : W. Robertson and H. Gee ; second : R. Campbell and W. Anderson; third: A. Holmes and J. Baker ; fourt h : G. Porter and J. Maddern ; fifth :E. Wright and W. Clarkson ; sixth : J.\ Grant and G. Wilmot; seventh: J. S. Wearn and A. Steeds; eight: A. Ralston and W. Wilmot.
