SUICIDE OF HENRY.
TREMENDOUS SENSATION IN FRANCE. United Presß Association — By Electric Telegraph— Copyright PARIS, Sept. 1. When interrogated in the presence of M. Cavaignac, Generals Boisdeffre and Goure, Colonel Henry prevaricated; but confessed when directly accused" of forgery. The revelation has created a tremendous sensation. It is reported that M. Brisson and three of his colleagues favour the revision of Dreyfus' sentence. M. Cavaignac threatens to resign, still believing in his guilt. General Boisdeffre has resigned. Colonel Henry, immediately after his confession, committed suicide at Mentelerin. with a razor. Major Esterhazy has been cashiered. The " Figaro " states that an extraordinary session of Parliament will probably be held. M. Faure lias postponed his intended visit to Havre. French authorities are accused of conniving at Colonel Henry's suicide, Which occurred immediately after his visit to the general staff officer, who ordered the sentry not to disturb the prisoner. ■
