MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.

■» The monthly meeting of No. 1 "No Surrender " Ladies Orange Lodge was held in the Orange Hall on Thursday evening, Sister Regan presiding. It was decided that the four officers be delegates to a meeting relative to the Twelfth of July celebration. After the business of the Lodge a "social" was held, when songs, recitations and other items were given by the Misses Middleton, Ayers, Parker, Phipps, Burns, Strothers and Russell, Mrs Townshend, Messrs Williamson, Moore, Adnams, Munnings and Smith, and Masters Sloane, Woods, Hanna, Greig and Strothers, and an address was given by Bro the Rev Lyon. During the evening Bro Middleton presented Sister Foster with a framed P.P. certificate, and Sister Willis presented Bro Middleton with a star. Refreshments were handed round, and a pleasant evening was brought to a close by singing " God Save the Queen."
