© FPbb Press Association.] "" NEW PLYMOUTH, April 1. H. J. Honeyiield, an old settler aged about sixty-eight, committed suicide this afternoon by hanging. It is supposed that the cause was despondency arising from illhealth. WELLINGTON, April 1. Mr T. F. Gibson, town clerk of Foxton, died in his garden on Wednesday night, from what was stated to be rqpture of a blood-vessel. Inspector Fender, however, received to-day, a report that Mr Gibson came to his death by cutting his throat, and that an inquest is to be held.
