TERRIBLE ATTACK ON A HOTELKEEPER'S VIF E.
Mrs C. Fairclough, wife of the proprietor of the Carnarvon Hotel, Port Arthur, Tasmania, has passed through some of the severest sufferings ever inflicted upon unfortunate human beings. Eheuniatisni, or rheumatic gout, was her affliction, and medical science and patent medicines were worse than nought. Dr Williams' Pink Pills alone succeeded in effecting once more a remarkable and inexpensive cure. For years, so she stated, she had been a sufferer from rheumatic affections, which at first seemed trivial, but in spite of ordinary precautions continued to increase so as to give rise to considerable alarm. The doctors pronounced the case to be one of much severity, the complaint being rheumatic gout. Everything was tried, but without avail, and Mrs Fairclough became at length a pronounced invalid. For months she was hopeless of ever recovering the \ise of her limbs, and the pains which she endured were absolutely beyond conception. Hot sea baths were tried, but failed, and, in fact, she was looked upon as a confirmed invalid. Worrying over her illness brought on a variety of other complaints. The least cold affected her to an abnormal degree. She was seized with pains in the feet so that she could hardly walk, even a feeble effort giving her considerable pain. She was compelled to sit in a warm place constantly, and her appetite fell away, so that she ate but one meal in three days. Every effort was made to secure relief, the best medical advice procurable being obtained. It was without avail, however, for she, so far from getting better, grew steadily "worse. ■•..'. Hearing of some of the marvellous cures I effected by the use of Dr Williams* Pink Pills for Pale People, she decided to try them. Her husband laughed at her decision and condemned the medicine as being useless and inoperative. But, acting on the belief that if Dr Williams' Pink Pills did her no good, a few could not do any harm, she gave them a trial. After commencing to take the pills she noticed a decided improvement in her condition. The pains were not so aggravated, and she could stand -without assistance, a feat which previously she was unable to accomplish. Soon the pains in the feet ceased altogether, and she felt like a new woman. Delighted with the discovery which she had made, she continued to use Dr Williams' Pink Pills, and after carefully taking them continuously according to directions for a period of two months, she felt that she had no longer any occasion to use the medicine. "I cannot explain to you," Mrs Fairclough said, "how grateful I am for haying discovered a cure for my complaint. I was in torture and completely broken down with despair for my condition. I felt that life was a burden, and I seemed to be in everybody's way by day and by night. My husband is as grateful as myself for the cure affected, and we both feel that I owe a new lease of my life to the use of Dr Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People. I have every faith that they have completely driven out the demon of rheumatic gout from my system. lam now a new woman, and being well and strong and hearty am able to perform all my duties satisfactorily.
