CHRISTCHURCH. Monday, March 14. (Before Mr W. D. Lawrence, J.P., Mr S. Lawrence, J.P., and Mr J. Langdown, J.P.) Drunkenness. — John Kinley, against whom there were a large number of previous convictions, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment. — Annie Davis, oKas Dudfree, was fined £1, in default fourteen days' imprisonment. — John Green pleaded not guilty to having been found drunk at Sumner. The offence was proved, but on Brigadier Hoskins undertaking to take charge of the man and find him something to do he was convicted and discharged. — A first offender was fined 5s and costs of medical attendance, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment.
