Messrs Nelson Bros, have received the following cable message from London today :■— -The frozen meat market shows signs of improvement owing to a rather better, demand; To-day's quotations are :-^For! beßt Canterbury mutton ;3}d, best Duiir edin sind Southland 2£<_, Napier and North Island 2|d and 2f d, best quality lamb sd, second quality lamb 4f d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated March 9. " Since Our last telegram beef tallow in general is higher by 3d to 6d per cwt; other descriptions are unchanged." SHIPPING. The New Zealand 'Shipping Company, Limited, has received the following cable message from its London office, dated March 9:— The Tongariro arrived at Monte Video yesterday (nineteen days from Wellington). The Otaiaraa arrived' at St Vincent (thirty-nine days from Wellington). Both have large quantities of dairy produce, and are making very excellent passages.
