Thursday, March 10. (Before Mr G. A. White, J.P., and Mr E. H. Parish, J.P.) •_ssa.ult.—A man named Joseph Thompson was arrested by Constable Leahy on a charge of brutally assaulting an ola man named Joseph Burgess, at the Waimakariri Gorge. He was sentenced to two months' imprisonment.
