CRICKET.
m . - At a meeting of the Junior Cup Committee, held yesterday morning, it was decided that, in consequence of Lancaster Park being engaged on Saturday for the Lin wood Cycling Club's sports, th© Junior Cup match between the Midland and Lancaster Park teams should be commenced at Hagley Park, and the Post and Telegraph and High School teams should play their game on .two Wednesdays. It was decided to postpone tho Lancaster Park President's Cup matches, no grounds being available. A cricket match was played between Springfield Cricket Club and Hororata Cricket Clubj at Hororata, resulting in a win for Hororata by 2 runs on the first innings. The scores were— Springfield 44, Hororata 46. In their second venture Springfield made 100 runs for five wickets.- --| Those who batted best for Springfield were — Thomas 12, H. Keane 6 not out and 9, Dormau 0 and IS ; for Hororata— Captain Woodcock 21 and C. Thorne 9. Thomas took bowling honours for Springfield a»d Thorne and Napier for Hororata.
