LEAGUE OF NEW ZEALAND WHEELMEN. A meeting of the Executive of .the Lea<me of New Zealand Wheelmen was held in the Occidental Hotel last evening ; present— Messrs W. G. Atack (chairman), C. H. The Secretary of the Napier Wanderers' Bicycle Club telegraphed that that club had decided to sever its connection with the, Alliance and join the League. The Wanganui Club wrote asking if the League was willing to pay a portion of the expenses of visiting competitors to the championship meeting. The Secretary was instructed to reply in the negative. The Secretary was instructed to write to the League's consul in Auckland and obtain full particulars concerning the running of the Five-mile Scratch Eace at , the last meeting of the club, regarding . which two protests had been entered, but • afterwards withdrawn. Since the Linwood Cycling Club's programme has been arranged Lancaster Park presents a very lively appearance each evening, and, judging from the number of cyclists training and spectators at the Park, the meeting next Saturday will be ' a great success. A lantern parade will be given by the Club on Thursday evening.
