AQUATIC.
At a meeting of the committee of the Canterbury Rowing Club on Thursday evening, the following crows were approved to bo entered to represent the club at the Championship Regatta at Dunedin on March 25 :— Champion Pairs— F. ■I. Cowlishaw (stroke), J. Y. Daly (bow). Ladies' Plate— A. S. Hardy-Johnston (stroke), T. L. Cowlishaw (3), H. Ayers (2), and F. E. Wright, jun. (bow). The Treasurer's statement showed a credit balance of .£l2O 10s. It was decided to purchase from Mr E. D. Rees two pleasure stumps. Hearty votes of thanks were passed to Mr E. F. Nicoll for the presentation of a photograph of last season's Ladie3* Plate and Junior crews, and to those who had assisted in making the club picnic a success. The resignations of Messrs J. P. Newman and H. J. M.* Thomson, who have left Chriatchurch, were accepted with regret. The dates for the Club Scratch Fours and annual smoke concert and presentation of prizes were fixed for March 19 and April 14 respectively. The third heat of the Youths' Single Sculls in connection with the Union Rowing Club was decided on the Avon last evening, and resulted in R. Logie defeating J. Brookes. The final heat is to be rowed this evening, the competitors being P. Mansfield and R. Logie.
