THE YARRA TUNNEL.

♦ RECOVERY OF BODIES. United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. Received Dec. 29, 10.20 a.m. MELBOURNE, Dec. 29. The worst fears have been realised with regard to the sewer fatality. »Late in tire afternoon a party of firemen succeeded in finding the body of Gibson, lying faoe downwards in the shaft, and brought it to the surface. Further along the shaft the bodies of Stevens and Porter were found, so tightly locked together that it was impossible to separate them in order to bring them out. It is also certain that Mossop was a victim of foul air. An influx of water stopped the search, but it will be resumed to-day with the assistance of the electric light. Mossop had only been married five months. All the others were married and had families.
