A NINETEENTH CENTURY HERO.
The memory of Nelson, the " Nations Darling," will remain for ever green and dear to the hearts of all true patriots. The secret of his success was that; whilst heing an intrepid sailor, he possessed the courage of his opinions. For did he not, in the face of orders to the contrary, nail his colours to the mast, knowing that failing in his object meant ruin to him? A man ■who nowadays has the courage of his opinions is a hero, and a rarity, too, but such an one is to be found in the person of Mr J. C. White, of Condobolin, who, in conversation with a representative from the Condobolin " Argus," said : — " I have been a great sufferer ; indeed, I have been a /martyr to almost unbearable tortures for 25 years with stomach trouble. It is so long ago that I almost forget how it began. Suffice it to say that I was a strong, healthy young man. But one day I noticed an unpleasant fullness after meals, and this continuing, I knew I was attacked by that most unpleasant complaint known as dyspepsia.", " But, Mr White," said our reporter, ' " why did you not then and there endeavour to get rid of that complaint ?" " I tried to. But in those days such a thing as a slight attack of indigestion was unheeded. The disease becoming worse, I took advice, but I never obtained any relief, and shortly afterwards I was attacked by pains in different parts of the limbs, | finally developing into sciatica. I was unable to do any kind of work, and having been used to an activo station life for so many years, my enforced idleness began to have serious effects, and I finally suffered from insomnia in addition, to sciatica and i dyspepsia. For the past quarter of a century I 'have consulted nearly every doctor I have met with, and probably could measure the patent medicines I have consumed by the ton. Occasionally I did get a little temporary relief, but these distressing maladies invariably returned with renewed vigour. Finally, as a last hope, I was advised by a friend to try Dr Williams' Pink Pills. I procured five boxes. After the third box, I felt eased ; at the finish of the fourth box I felt a marked improvement, and when I had finished tlie fifth box I felt liko a new man j altogether. The excruciating sciatica has entirely left. I can enjoy a good meal, and can sleep soundly, waking up in the morning thoroughly refreshed — a delightful sensation which I have not experienced for 25 long years." "To add that I am grateful for such a relief is scarcely necessary." The action of ©r Williams' Pink Pills for Palo People is directly on the blood, and thus it is that they are so famous for the cure of .anaemia and rheumatism, weak heart, scrofula, consumption, chronic erysipelas, and restore pale and sallow complexions to the glow of health. They are also a splendid nerve and spinal tonic, and thus have cured many cases of paralysis, locomotor ataxy, neuralgia, St Vitus's dance and nervous headache. They are sold by chemists, and by Dr Williams' Medicine Company., Wellington, N.Z., at 3s a box, or six for 15s 9d, but are genuine only with full name on each box. See that your chemist does not substitute something just as good when making your purchases. The " just as good" kind cost him less money, and he is looking out for his pocket, not your health. The genuine Dr Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People are put up in boxes only, each of which is encircled by a blue warning label. The outside wrapper is of white paper, and bears the firm's trade-mark printed in red ink.
