The English ship Corolla, from Cape Town to Tallat, put in last night to repair j damage occasioned by an outbreak of fire off the Australian coast. An attempt was made to reach New Zealand, but failed owing to adverse weather. The fii-e broke out in Bass Straits amongst oils and paints, and after four hours' hard work was extinguished. A fire broke out this morning aboard the Glasgow barque Scotia, with a large general carero, but was extinguished before the cargo was reached, the damage being confined to the vessel and fittings.
