SWIMMING.

A meeting of those interested in forming a swimming club in connection with the Lancaster Park bath was hold in the Lancaster Park Hotel last evening, when Mr F. Kesteven presided. After some discussion, Mr Duncan moved — "That the club be called tho Lancaster Park Swimming Club, and that the club be affiliated to the New Zealand Swimming Association, provided suitable terms can be arranged with the Lancaster Park Company." The motion was put and carried unanimously. A committee, consisting of Messrs Bovgh, Hillary aud Priestnall, was appointed to wait on the Park Company, and ascertain upon what terms the bath could be secured, and also to draw up a set of rules. Mr E. Duncan was elected secretary pro-. tem., and the meeting adjourned till Monday, Dec. 20.
