Tlie English cricketers, with the exception of Eanjitsinhji, have returned from their northern tour. The Prince is still confined to his room at Armidale. He is very weak, and it is extremely unlikely that he will take part in the test match. Charles Bannerman, with Phillips, will umpire in the match.
A match was played at Culverden yesterday, between teams from the Culverden' Estate and Balmoral station. Balmoral batted first and made 22. Culyerden scored 86, Griffin making 15, Legg 15, J. C. Wilson 15, Hugonin 12 not out. In the second innings Balmoral made 80, M'Connock scoring 25, Jndd 23. Culverden with 17 to win obtained them with the loss of two wickets. In the bowling Legg for Culverden did the " hat" trick, and secured five wickets in the over. After the match he was presented with a bat by his team.
