Brown benefit concert at the Opera House to-morrow night. Foundation stone of the clock tower to be laid at 3 p.m. to-morrow. Flower shows - in the Art Gallery tomorrow, and at Addington. The Agricultural and Pastoral Association meets to-morrow afternoon. Reports from Tangier, Morocco, state that a large traffic in slaves is being carried on, on the west coast of Morocco. The Coroner's jury found Archibald Davis guilty of manslaughter in the matter of the death of Daniel Pasche at Addington on Monday. A ballot among the English cotton spinning operatives resulted in an overwhelming majority against accepting a reduction in wages. The President of the United States in his annual message to Congress, says that tlie forcible annexation of Cuba would, under the present circumstances, be an act of criminal aggression, and the recognition of the rebels as belligerents would be unwise. Tlie Executive would only interfere if the necessity for such step commanded the world's approval and support.
