The G'usiiov Daily Mail, referring to |>ainttTS and the eight-hours day, says: — The. National Amalgamated Society of Painters and Decorators, the members of which number nearly 8000, have passed a vote in favour of the eight-hours day. The society belongs to the federated trades, the other members of whish are now voting to tV.e number of 20,000.
