ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
THE AUCKLAND DISASTER. [Per Press Association.l AUCKLAND, Oct. 6. The inquest relative to the accident on the railway line was concluded to-day. The jury will meet to-morrow to consider the verdict. FOUND DEAD. The body of a swagger, apparently about thirty years of age, was found on a road near Mr T. Teschemaker's Otaio Station yesterday morning. There were no marks of violence on the body, but a good deal of blood on the road near the body had apparently come from the deceased's mouth. In his swag was a savings bank pass-book, with the name John Menchen in it, the account having been opened at Makikibi in February last. The body was removed by Constable Parker to the Makikihi Hotel for inquest. Th 9 deceased was seen alive on the road, going towards Mr Teschemaker's, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. George Templeton, a boy aged about thirteen years, while swinging on a tree at Kaianoi. fell and broke his collar bone.
