\ A meeting of the committee of this club 3 was held last night. Mr T. L. Smith |! occupied the chair. Arrangements were r, concluded for the opening of the season on 1 Saturday, Oct. 1(5. It was decided to j dispense" with the formal procession, and r to have a number of scratch races. It was , # decided to invite a few lady friends of mcmi bers to assist in connection with the afterr noon tea. Respecting the circular from the I Otago Rowing Association, having referic enca to the IS9B Championship Regatta, r it was decided to reply that the com- ' mittee were in favour of the principle of r j the regatta being held in connection with c the Jubilee celebrations of the provinces, a but before instructing the club's delegate r the committee would like to have some par,f ticulars of the course upon which it was proposed to row t\\e championship event?.
