AN ASSASSINATION.
THE PRESIDED OE URUGUAY KILLED.
[Per Press Association.! MONTE VIDEO, August 26,
Senor Borda, President of Uruguay, was assassinated when leaving a^ national thanksgiving service at Monte Video Cathedral. A youth named Arrendendo fired a revolver, the shot penetrating Borda's heart, killing him instantly. The murderer was immediately arrested.
