ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Archie Hastings, the four-year-old son of James Hastings, farmer, of Melltown, near Southbridge, was kicked by a horse yesterday morning. Dr Withers was called in, but the boy died last night. An ■ inquest will be held. At noon yesterday a horse, attached to a confectioner's van, bolted along Lichfield Street, and was stopped by some bystanders in High Street without any damage resulting. One wheel was securely chained.
