THE GREAT PROCESSION.

The trains to London from all parts have been crowded since four o'clock this morning. The railway arrangements were splendid. The weather is dull.
The colonial troops which preceded the state procession to St Paul's received a wild ovation.
The procession has just reached Temple Bar, where the Lord Mayor, on horseback, awaited the Queen's arrival. '
"When the procession reached St Paul's a Thanksgiving Service was held, lasting twenty minutes. The colonial and Indian troops met with a grand reception. At various points along the route of the procession the crowd spontaneously sang the National Anthem. The spectacle was a grand success throughout, and was witnessed by over two million persons. A number of troops of the different colonies formed part [of the Queen's body-guard.
Messrs Harmswortb,the proprietors of the Daily Mail, gave a reception to the visiting Premiers. Among the artists engaged were Paderewski, Mdme. Melba, and Miss Ada Crossley. At Birmingham yesterday the Colo-
*mal Pf-miers were entertained at hind-eon by the Lord Ma) or, the Wight Hon James Smith, and received 1 the heartiest welcome.
