Contrary to expectation, a number of the New South Wales Mounted Eiflea arranged to participate in the Dublin Military Tournament, and won several events against the pick of the army in Ireland. At the Dublin Military Tournament, the New South "Wales Mounted Eifles were successful in the following events :— Team, wrestling for . nergeants,' Sergeant M' A llister's ; team tent-pegging for sergeants, Sergeant MA llister's j for privates, Private Cribble's ; Victoria Cross contest, Private Bridges's.
