CHURCH SERVICES.

A service of praise and thanksgiving was held at Sfc Paul's Presbyterian Church at 11.30 last night, the . Rey Dr Eltuslio' presiding, Tho National Authoiii was sung, and Dr Erwin read a portion of the thirtythird Psahn. The Rev Gordon Webster offered up prayer, which was followed by the National Thanksgiving hymn. The Benediction concluded the service, and MiDavis Hunt played the Hallelujah Chorus as a closing voluntary. At the Durham Street We3leyan Church a thanksgiving service was held at 10.45 last night. The Rev W. Morley was the officiating minister. There was a Scripture reading. "Cod Save the Queen" and appropriate hymns were sung, aud the Eev P. W. Fairclough, President of the Conference, delivered an address. The first item in tho Jubilee observances at the Christchurch Hospital was the watching of the procession by all the patients who were able to leave their beds. The second item was an extra good dinner for all who were sufficiently well to partake thereof. At two o'clock in the afternoon tlie convalescent patients and their friends mustered in the corridor, sang " God Save tlie Queen," and partook of tea and cake. Miss Tripp, honorary secretary of the Destitute Patients' Fund, presented a useful article of clothing to each patient in the name of the Queen. Through the kindness of his Worship the Mayor of Christchurch and the Lady Mayoress, about twenty-five of the inmates of the Jubilee Home were conveyed to the City Council Chambers, where they partook of cake, tea and fruit. About fiftesu of the number were also taken to the Show Grounds.
