The annual report and balance-sheet showed the total receipts to have been .£179 12s Bd, and the expenditure .£453 12s 7d. The total assets were .£1865 2s sd, the liabilities £99 3s 2d, and the credit balance amounted to .£1765 19s 3d. The report and balancesheet were received and adopted subject to audit — At the annual meeting of ratepayers of the Eyreton Road Board District, held on May ,3, there were present — Messrs Hopkins (chairman), S Burrell, VT. H. Clabburn, F. Kelly, H. Vctter, J. Wright and B. Whittam. The report and balance-sheet showed the total receipts for the year ending- March 31, 1897, to have been .£2035 13s 3d, and the total expenditure .£l7BO 16s 6d, leaving a credit balance at the bank of £254 16s 9d. The total assets were .£443 6s 4d, and the liabilities amounted to £102 10s Bd, leaving a balance of assets over liabilities of .£340 15s Bd.
