HORSE SALES.

There were very fair entries at; tho usual sales of horses on Saturday, and useful sorts of farm animals were bettor represented than of late. The lighter horses, however, were only a medium lot, and included a line of well-worn coachers. Competition was fairly <*ood for draughts, which brought from .£l6 to .£23 10s for the best sorts, and from .£lO to .£ls for medium. Light harness horses sold at from .£lO to .£l6 for useful sorts, and from £7 to £9 for those not so good. Hacks were dull of sale, and are likely to remain so, with oats at their present price, as no one who can possibly do without one will keep a saddle horse new that the winter is coming on. Medium sorts brought from £8 to =812, and aged and weedy lands from ,£1 10s to .£6.
