KAIAPOI EIFLES v. EANGIOEA RIFLES. A match between the Kaiapoi and Rangior'a Rifles took place at Kaiapoi on Saturday lasft The conditions were ten men a side, seven shots each at 200 yds, 300 yds and 500 yds. The following were the scores : — Kaiapoi Rifles — Lieutenant Simpson, 200 yds 31, 300 yds 28, 500 yds 23, total 82 ; Private W. Pearce 28, 22, 20—70; Corporal Gram 30, 20, 31—87; Private Drabble 30, IS, 23—71 ; Private H. Hayman 31, 26, 29 —86; Private A. Fraser 24, 29, 27—80; Corporal G. Simpson 30, 19, 15—64; Private G. Templeton 24,22, 18 — 64; Sergeant Pearee 32, 26, 21—79. Total for nine men 683. Kangiora Rifles — Lieutenant D'Anvergne 32, 29, 25—86; Sergeant F. Gulliver 32, 27, 21—80; Corporal Bell 28, 22, 23—73; Private Bell '28, 29, 21—78 ; Corporal Whithani 29, 22, 29—80 ; Private G. Humphries 26, 21, 18—65 ; Private Tolput 25, 25, 9— 59; Private Geddes 28, 19, 13— 60; Sergeant D'Auvergne 27,. 19, 11 — 57 ; Sergeant B. Gulliver 28, 19, 21—68. Total for ten men 706. Deducting the lowest score, 57, this leaves the Kaiapoi men victorious by 34 points.
