Mrs J. K. Barney.— During her stay in Auckland Mrs Barney visited the police station, and had a chat with the matron of " the new. lock-up. Accompanied by thu J Rev W. J. Williams, Mrs Barney went out f J to see the- Costley Home for the Aged Poor • at Epsom Tho Minister of Justice has given Mrs Barney permission to visit all the gaols I in the colony. Mrs Barney is expected to '■ arrive in Christchurch about the middle of - next week, and besides visiting the local a institutions, she will pi'obably address F several meetings. q
