Mails close for the following places as 1 under, subject to the necessary altera- J tions : — ' Thursday, April 29. For Northern Ports, Australian Colonies, via Auckland, Ceylon, India, China, &c, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, for correspondence marked via Suez (due London June 16). Also, Fiji, Hawaiian Islands, British Columbia, Canada and United States (connecting with Aorangi, leaving Sydney on May 10), (correspondence for the United States will require to be marked "per Aorangi") per Penguin, at 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji, per Taviuni, close at Auckland on May 5, at 4 p.m. Mails for Earatonga and Tahiti, per Upolu, close at Auckland on May 12, at 4 p.m. Mails for South Africa leave Melbourne on May 20.
