GOOD TEMPLARS.

+ [Per Prtcss Association.] WELLINGTON, April 22. At a meeting of the Grand Lodge of Good Templars, the Grand Secretary's report was read. It showed that there are 126 lodges in New Zealand, with a membership of 4217. Since the previous session o£ the Grand Lodge forfcy-nine members have died. There are now six District Lodges in existence. A motion to remove the Grand Lodge offic3 from Dunedin to Wellington was lost by sixty-seven to nineteen. The election of officers elicited considerable interest. Bro Taylor (Thames) was re-elected Grand Chief without opposition. Six sisters and two brothers were nominated for the office of Grand Vice-Templar. After three ballots Sister Gunnell (Dunedin) was elected to the position, securing forty-one votes to Sister Cameron's thirtynine. Five brothers and one sister were nominated for the office of Grand Counsellor, and after three ballots had been taken Bro Walton (Greymouth) was elected, obtaining forty votes to thirty-nine votes for Sister Cameron. For Grand Superintendent of the Juvenile Templars three sisters and one brother were nominated. After several ballots Sister Cameron (Dunedin) was elected by a substantial majority over Sister Duncan (Nelson) and j Bro Vine.
