■*■ LYTTELTON. Friday, April 23. (Before Mr A. Chalmers, J.P.) ""Breaking a Window. — John Sullivan pleaded guilty to breaking a window, the property of W. Hewstone, in London Street on Sunday last. He explained that he was throwing a stone at a dog, and the stone went through the window. He was ordered to pay amount of damage, 14s, and costs. A Dangerous Practice. — Seven small boys were charged with rolling a stone from the top of the hill above the Suinner Koad to the danger of passers-by. They pleaded guilty, and were severely cautioned by the Magistrate and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
