COLONIAL BANK.
THE HON J. G. WARD. [Per Press Association."] DUNEDIN, April 5. In Chambers ■ to-day application was made on behalf of the liquidators to sanction the sale of the Hon J. G. Ward's indebtedness to the Colonial Bank, to Mr Batger, of Auckland, for .£BSOO. The liquidators, in their evidence, said that the sale would be very advantageous in the interest of the shareholders of the Colonial Bank, and .£3OOO better than their own valuation at a forced sale. The Judge said that such an important principle was involved that he preferred to take the opinion of his brother judges before deciding. He will, therefore, not give his decision till after the sitting of the Court of. Appeal.
