In the House of Commons Sir Charles Dilke urged that Great Britain should convene a conference with the object of enforcing better treatment to the natives in Africa. In reply Mr Cuvzon entf that Great Britain was parleying with the Powers with a view to holding a conference. He denied that the Niger Company was exercising an illegal monopoly. OBITUARY.
