A match was played at Lytteltou on Saturday between a team composed of Cliristchurelvplayers and an. eleven of the local club, and proved a most enjoyable game. The local men went in first, and were disposed of for 103 runs, Seymour 45 and Willcox 10 were the chief scorers. The Christchurch players, batting two men short, compiled 125, A. E. Ridley, the Lancaster Park batsman, playing a magnificent innings for 82 not out. D. Jack and Raphael, each 11, were the only other batsmen to reach double figures. For the visitors, Ridley, Atkinson, Parker and . Raphael all got wickets, while Just, Herd and Seymour did the bowling for the local . team. Another match between the teams has been arranged for next Saturday.
